Auf dieser Seite finden sich SPEC95 Peak-Werte (erzielt durch Compiler-Optimierungen), die teilweise deutlich über den Base-Werten liegen. Die meisten Prozessorhersteller geben - aus Marketinggründen - nur die Peak-Werte an.
Im allgemeinen werden die Tests unter Unix gefahren (auch beim PowerPC), lediglich Intel setzt mittlerweile auf Windows NT als Testplattform.

On this page you find mostly SPEC95 peak scores (run with compiler optimization), these score may be significantly higher than the base scores. Most chip makers only publish peak scores.
In general the tests are run under Unix (including the PowerPC), only Intel uses Windows NT instead.

SPECmark95 ist nicht mehr angemessen, heutige Prozessorarchitekturen zu vergleichen: kein MMX, kein SIMD, kein AltiVec, kein Backside-Cache wird berücksichtigt. Zudem ist der SPECfp95 sehr stark abhängig von der Busgeschwindigkeit: siehe unseren Artikel Zahlen, Fakten und Statistik (Kapitel "Auswahl des Benchmarks").

SPECmark95 is not a good benchmark to compare todays hardware architectures: no MMX, no SIMD, no AltiVec, no new architecture since 1995 (e. g. backside cache, cache size in general) is specifically tested. Besides that the SPECfp95 strongly depends on the bus speed, see or article Facts, numbers and statistics (chapter "Selection of benchmarks").
